Pinus pinea is a majestic evergreen tree native to the Mediterranean region. It is easily recognized by its umbrella-shaped crown and long, needle-like leaves arranged in pairs. In Cyprus, it thrives in warm, sunny locations with well-drained soil, often seen in coastal landscapes and urban parks. This long-lived tree can reach 20–30 meters in height and is highly resilient, requiring minimal maintenance once established. Its small yellow and red flowers bloom in spring, adding subtle seasonal interest. Beyond its ornamental value, the tree is appreciated for shade, windbreaks, and erosion control

However, remember that some plants require special care and more frequent watering, such as plants belonging to special categories (eg tropical or moisture-loving plants). There are also plants that do not need frequent watering (eg succulents and cacti).
